Pooling Heat Read online

"How far is it supposed to be up there?" I asked her.
Anna shrugged. "The book doesn't say, but it can't be too far if she had to walk up there alone with a bridal dress," she pointed out.
I sighed. "All right, let's get this over with," I commented, and took a few steps onto the trail. As though it sensed me, the familiar warm breeze glided down the trail and washed over me. My body tingled with the pleasure and my face flushed with heat.
"Oh, and don't forget to undress when you get into the pool," Anna reminded me.
"I'll see how warm the water is before I decide to go in," I told her.
I hiked up the trail on my way to some unknown fate. Maybe I'd find nothing, and maybe I'd find-well, I expected nothing regardless of what I saw up there. The path wasn't too steep and there weren't any rocks to climb over or dusty holes to avoid. Anna was soon lost to my sight and I traveled up the trail for ten minutes before the dense trees began to thin. A strange let shone ahead of me, and I hurried my way onward until I crested a ridge.
The path opened to a small clearing, and in the clearing lay an impossibly blue pool. It was circular about twenty yards by twenty yards, and the far back bank lay against a sheer rock wall that buttressed half the pond. The other half was a gentle slope of white sand that allowed easy access to the clear, shimmering water. A slight hint of steam arose from the surface and the slightest breeze blew it toward the trail. That was the heated wind I'd felt.
I walked across a carpet of green, soft ferns and down the few yards of sand to the edge of the water. Other than the wind the water was calm and inviting. I knelt down and dipped my hand in the water. It was as warm as a bathtub, and twice as pure. This was a sacred pool I wouldn't mind swimming in. I set my flashlight down and proceeded to strip. After that long hike a swim would do me good, and I'd brought a towel to dry myself. Once I was naked I dipped my toes into the warm water and sighed. Wonderful. I waded into the water and each inch of me that it covered reveled in the warmth and softness.
I was up to my waist when I noticed something across the way and against the rock wall. It looked like a stone chair. Maybe that's what Anna said about a seat. I waded through the water and found the depth only climbed to just below my breasts. Reaching the stone I found that it was indeed a chair with thick arms and a seat that forced the seated to straddle it.
"Why not?" I whispered to myself, and climbed aboard.
The seat lay higher than the floor of the pool so that when I sat down the surface of the water covered only the bottom half of my breasts. The warm pool soothed my sweat-covered, tense body. I sighed and leaned back against the headrest. Above me the moon shone across the surface of the water. I don't know how long I sat there, but I could have stayed there forever just sitting on that stone seat.
However, something had other plans. A small breeze came up and danced across the surface of the water. It disturbed the calmness, and the surface of the water rose into small waves that proceeded to lap against my breasts. The feel was like the gentle massage of a lover as he aimed to incite delicious lust within me. I closed my eyes and reveled in the heat that ignited inside my body. My flesh shivered and my hands gripped tightly the arms of the chair. I should have noticed when the waves changed, how they solidified into wet, hot tendrils. How they pressed against my thighs and stroked my breasts. I didn't, not until it was too late. Not until I didn't care.
The water tendrils lapped against the warm folds between my legs. I leaned my head back and moaned. Each touch was an incomparable pleasure. Every glide of the water against me stoked the heat inside me. My hands gripped the arms of the stone chair. I longed for fulfillment. These tendrils only teased me. They hinted at something greater.
My tongue darted out to wet my dry lips. "Please, god," I whispered. "Please release me."
My words carried across the rippling pool. There was a small bubbling noise, and I looked over the water to see a form rise from the surface of the water. It was a column of clear liquid, and it took the shape of a young man with dark skin and hair. He was as solid as I and naked, and his wet muscles glistened in the starlight. His eyes were a bright blue that shined like the water around us. I knew who he was. Here was my lover, my husband. He had come for one purpose: to consummate our marriage.
He spoke in a language I knew I shouldn't have understood, but he communicated through a connection that crossed language divides. His voice was like the soft water lapping against a white-sand shore, and it gave me comfort to hear it. "It has been many years since one willingly came to me," he told me. "Would you have me?"
"Yes," I breathed out. I was delirious with lust.
He smiled and his form dipped beneath the surface. There only remained a shadow, and I watched that swim toward me below the surface. It draped itself across my body and I was enveloped in a blanket of heat. The shadow pressed and pushed against me, massaging my muscles and breasts in a slow, careful rhythm that left me gasping for air. My hands trembled and clutched at the arms, and my hips pressed against the shadow.
Soft tendrils slipped into me and deftly destroyed the evidence of my virginity. The pain was minimal and completely overshadowed the pleasure that tingled through my body. My face was flushed and my limbs trembled. The tendrils pushed deeper and deeper into me, filling me with their being until they pressed gently against my walls. Then they slid out and were careful to brush against my sensitive clit. I groaned and shifted. It was deliciously sensual, and I wanted more.
The tendrils met my demands, and more. They penetrated me again and again. Each push was faster than the one before it. The shadow lapped against my breasts and teased my nipples. I leaned my head back and closed my eyes, reveling in the feel of my husband's body against mine, in mine. We were one being soaking in the pleasures of each other. Lust was my husband's tool, and I allowed him to work it on me.
"My husband, my lord," I whispered. It was my mantra.
I repeated it over and over again as it took me and made me its own. Each push of the tendrils caused a ripple of pleasure to flow through my body. The waters pressed against me, soaking my skin and heating me to my core. The shadow rose from the water and pressed itself against my neck, planting soft kisses against my feverish skin. I shuddered and groaned. It tasted my sweat and lapped up the sweetness.
The tendrils moved faster. They were more impatient, but so was I. My body was tense, aching. I needed completion, to reach the heavens only a husband could grant me. My cries echoed across the rolling surface of the water. Waves crashed into each other, but never hit me. The shadow pressed against me trying to make us as one. I whipped my head from side to side. Each penetration stretched me, teased me closer to the great, wonderful unknown.
My eyes shot open and I gasped as the ripples of pleasure came to me, filled me. It started between my thighs and spread across my body. Sensual, tingling pleasure that consumed me. My heart beat furiously and I writhed beneath his strong, shadowed body. The tendrils thrust deep into me, becoming one with my body.
Then I reached my climax. My body and flesh exploded into millions of spasms of sensual pleasure. I threw my head back and cried out my fulfillment to the stars. My lover slowed its penetrations and glided me back down to consciousness. My heart beat hard in my chest and my vision was foggy, but I couldn't have been happier. The water around me calmed and the warm breeze swept over me. It was a perfect moment of happiness that was ruined when the shadow slid away from me.
I cried out in anguish, but still it dove into the depths of the pool. I stood on my shaky legs and dashed ten yards into the water after it, but the shadow flew around me and settled itself on the stone chair I'd just vacated. It formed itself into the human figure and smiled at me. The smile told me everything. I needed to go. Tonight was finished and I had to return to the world. Tears sprang to my eyes, but I understood. I couldn't stay here forever.
I turned away and moved toward the far bank. When my feet touched the sand I slipped out of the water fee
ling, and looking, like a new woman. There was a sheen to my skin that hadn't been there before, and when I glanced at my reflection my smile at a coyness to it that would rival Anna's. Across the water still sat my lover, my husband. I wanted to return to his strong arms and satiate my carnal desires, but I'd been gone an hour. Anna would be worried, and I didn't want her to know. Nobody could know. I'd keep this a secret, and I'd return in secret whenever I could to my lover, my lord, my husband.
