  "So what we have here is no clue how the company promotion system works, who goes where, and what happened to the last person to have my job?" Things weren't looking good for their answers, but their question list was getting longer.

  "Pretty much." Slinky drooled out the mouth when she saw their plates coming. "But can we talk after we eat? I'm starving."

  "Yeah, sure." Sam didn't have much of an appetite now, but she pecked away at her food. It was delicious, and especially more so that it was Chinese, her favorite type of dish. Her friend noticed Sam's lack of appetite.

  "Come on, cheer up," Slinky encouraged through a mouthful of pork fried rice. "We'll figure this thing out. It's not like your life depends on it or anything."

  "I hope not..." she muttered into her pork chow mien.

  "How about we go out for drinks after this? That might cheer you up. I know this great place a few blocks down that serves the best pina coladas."

  "Nah, I'm pretty tired. Long week and all. I'll be glad for my first break from it."

  "Yeah, weekends are almost pretty fun," Slinky teased. She dropped her fork into her food and wistfully looked off into the distance. "Sleeping in until it's the drinking hour, staying in your pj's until you go out for some more drinks, and stumbling home and taking a nice cup of alcohol to help you sleep."

  "And when does the drinking hour start?" Sam wondered with a smile.

  "Oh, any time after twelve, and you know it's always after twelve somewhere in the world," her friend solemnly informed her.

  "Sounds like your liver's going to collapse by the time you hit thirty," Sam teased with a laugh. She was starting to feel better already.

  "Who wants to live that long? I'm aiming for twenty-eight," Slinky proudly proclaimed. "Then I'll have all my suiters attend my funeral and I'll will them all my fine collection of assorted shoes."

  "Is it that large?"

  "Nope, but each one can take a single shoe to remember me by. I'm sure there'll be a lot of crying, too." Slinky dramatically swooned and crossed one of her arms over her forehead. "And they'll all say how tragic that such a charming, gifted, beautiful lady could die so young."

  "You sure this is your funeral?" Sam wondered. She pushed aside her empty plate and snickered as her friend gave her a friendly whop on the arm.

  "Some friend you are. I should just leave you here."

  "I wouldn't recommend it," she countered as she glanced at her watch. It was already nearing seven. "It's getting kind of late, and I'm your best bet to getting safely back to your apartment."

  "I guess I'll take that as an apology," Slinky accepted as she led the way to the cashier. She paid their bill and Sam took her back to her apartment. Slinky paused as she stepped out of the car and ducked her head back inside. "You wanna come in for a little while? I've got some drinks in the fridge we can share."

  "Nah, I need to get some sleep." She really was exhausted, and she wanted some time alone to think about what had happened that day.

  "All right." Slinky didn't think she'd go to sleep, but there wasn't much point in arguing. Her stubborn friend would only get irritated. "I guess I'll see you tomorrow, then."

  "Yep. Later."

  They waved goodbye to each other and Sam drove back to her comfortable apartment. She threw her jacket, purse and the bag of her dirty clothes onto the kitchen counter and collapsed onto the couch. It was nice to smell the things that were so her rather than him. She kicked her shoes off and stretched out her legs. Her body was relaxed, but her mind was turning this way and that. She actually had to get up and grab a pen and paper to write all the information down into a list.

  "Let's see..." she mumbled to herself. She checked each of them off as she read down the list. "The person before me just up and disappears, Mrs. Winkle really hates me for having this job, and Davies specifically asked to have me hired, which really pissed Winkle off. That leads me to the big question about the boss. I swear to god he's trying to get me pregnant." She wasn't on the pill right now, but if this was going to keep up she was seriously considering the expense. The only problem was it took three months for the stuff to kick in, and she had a bad feeling he wasn't going to stop his advances to wait for that long.

  Sam mused over these few points for over an hour before she finally gave up. She really didn't have enough information to make any judgments. All she had were theories, and some of them were as wild as the pregnancy one. She opted for bed rather than staying awake any longer, and walked into her bedroom to change. Her apartment had a single bedroom with one and a half baths. The full bathroom was connected with the bedroom, so she considered it a master bath, what with the full tub and shower. Since she didn't know many people it was only right that she spoil her personal living quarters.

  Moving into the bedroom and tossing aside the bag of her dirty clothes to throw into the hamper, Sam glanced out the full windows. They had a decent view of a clean street two stories down, and she could even see some of the night sky above the buildings. This caught her attention and she slowly glided over to the tall glass. The moon was mostly full and, with help from the street lights below, the city was awash with light and shadows. Sam put her hand against the cool glass as she wondered about her relationship with her employer.

  She couldn't deny that he was handsome and incredibly wealthy, two traits any girl would want in someone attracted to her. What she worried about was the depth of attraction and the consequences of such a relationship between employer and employee. So far he had been polite to her and her friend, but did that really mean he cared for her?

  Did she even care for him?

  Sam didn't have that answer for him. She was sexually attracted to him, but she didn't know enough about him personally to develop deeper feelings for him. She couldn't deny the appeal he had, though, especially when he wore that musky cologne. Just thinking about it made her heat up. It didn't help that the clothes she had worn earlier, those that even now lay on her bed, still smelled strongly of him. The clothes she had on were becoming tighter as she glanced over to the plastic bag.

  Slowly she stepped over to the dirty clothes hamper and removed the shirt. She pressed it against her nose and inhaled deeply. His musky scent filled her senses and she felt its drug-like effects overwhelm her mind. He was an addiction to her now, she couldn't argue that. One day without him being there and she wasn't sure what she'd do. Sam lay with her back down on the bed as she clutched the shirt. The one she was wearing stretched above her swelling breasts. If she'd been sensible of what was happening she would have been worried, because this wasn't natural. She shouldn't physically change so much on arousal alone, but she was light-headed and willingly swam into the sensual sea which his scent revealed to her.

  Sam shifted and squirmed against the soft covers as her skirt tightened and rode up her thighs. She could almost feel the fabric tearing as her hips pushed out. Her breasts strained against the shirt until the middle button tore off. Another followed, then another. Her bare mounds heaved up and down as they pushed against her bra. She felt so trapped in these horribly tight clothes. She pulled at the remaining buttons and the shirt broke open. She sat up and unclasped the bra from behind, and that slipped down off her arms. Her breasts, full and shining with sweat, were free, but her skirt still troubled her. She didn't have to worry for long, though, as the seam along the side stretched and broke open. The slit spread down the side as her thick, full thigh burst out. She could feel her underwear stretch and snap as the band and seams also tore. They were only pieces of cloth now that partially covered her, but with a little movement she slid out of them.

  "Oh god," she moaned as she slowly lay back down.

  It felt so good to be free of those clothes. She still held the scented shirt in her hand and clasped it to her chest. Her free hand began to slide up the side of her thigh as she felt herself getting wet. She could just imagine his hands wandering over her body as he planted soft kisses on his neck. Her breasts were tight and her nipples p
inched as she reached up and cupped one in her hand. They were so sensitive that her body tingled with pleasure and she squirmed beneath her own touch. Her tongue came out to softly lick her pert lips and her fingers toyed with her nipple.

  She wondered at the size of her breasts as her hand slid down the valley between them. She acted the part of a curious child as she explored herself for the first time. Sweat covered her body as her fingers edged softly down her stomach. Her breathing was quick and heavy as her hand traveled through the coarse black hair below her waist. She trembled when she brushed against her wet, hot folds, but her hunger was too much not to be satisfied. Her finger slid between them and she groaned when she touched upon the small nub.

  She slowly began to stroke it, and she teased herself with the careful pace she kept. Sam squirmed and moaned, and the sounds made the sensual sensation even greater. Her hips began to keep time with the tempo as they pushed against her hand. She brushed aside the loose clothes and lay naked on her bed as she pleasured herself. With his scent surrounding her, she imagined his smooth, muscular body atop her own, covering her in his hard, muscular form. She could almost feel him brushing up against them as their sweat mingled and their arms wrapped around one another. He would slide easily between her tight walls as they slowly, sensual kissed. Unconsciously she picked up the tempo as her finger brushed faster against her nub. Her hips kept up and her moans grew louder as she writhed among the sheets and pillows.

  "Oh my god," she whispered as she arched her back.

  The images of them consummating their love flashed in her mind as her free hand gripped the covers. She didn't want to wait any longer, she couldn't. Her finger pushed harder and faster as her breathing quickened. She pushed against herself as her feet kicked and her hips squirmed with impatience. She could feel it, it was so close, and she wanted it more than anything. A few more moments and the bright light flashed across her eyes and her body arched high into the air. She stiffened and her mouth opened in a silent, triumphant yell of joy. Her finger kept rubbing against herself for a few moments after to hold her in that high.

  But the high couldn't last forever, and soon Sam returned to earth. The feeling melted away to be replaced with the bliss of post-orgasm, but there was something bitter about it. It'd been good, maybe even great, but it wasn't as enjoyable as she'd hoped. She couldn't pinpoint why until she held up her wet, sticky hand and looked at it. It just wasn't the same. Not without him.

  Sam grudgingly sat up and looked around the bed. The clothes were ruined, though not beyond repair. She tossed aside the shirt in her hand as she cupped her in her other.

  "What the hell is going on?" she softly whispered as she stared at the damaged shirt, underwear and skirt. She lifted the skirt and looked at the ripped seams. It was going to take her best effort at sewing to hide what had happened. "What the hell is happening to me?"

  The empty air didn't answer, and Sam slid her legs over the side of the bed. With all her heat gone she noticed it was a cold night tonight. Glancing out the window, she noticed her hand print on the glass. She had a lot of cleaning up to do tomorrow. She wondered if she should give herself more time to do it by calling in sick.

  Unfortunately she'd be leaving herself open to the mercy of Mrs. Winkle. As her supervisor, the witch had the ability to reject any requests for sick leave, especially since there was no way she could get a note from a doctor. She also now knew her supervisor had a motive for getting rid of the pretty and young competition for head woman to Davies.

  No, she'd have to go to work tomorrow, and be there on time and with energy.

  "Easier said than done," she grumbled.

  She shuffled off the bed and into the shower for the second time that day.
